Six Simple Steps for Easy Installation

Working with MechSlip delivers advantages from day one, starting with a lightweight construction that reduces the demand on foundations and associated construction costs.

The system is fully compatible with an extensive range of building substrates too, making it ideal for enhancing concrete, steel frame, masonry and insulated panels. STEP 1.

Mechanically fix brackets and vertical support rails to the building substructure to maximum 600mm horizontally and 900mm vertically (subject to engineering checks).

STEP 2.

Horizontally affix middle rails to the vertical supports at 75mm increments, including a starter and top rail in their respective locations. Use the gauge tool to fix multiple rail courses simultaneously.

STEP 3.

Slip MechSlip brick tiles firmly into place between rails, guided by the preformed upper and lower retainers.

STEP 4.

Repeat the process for the remaining bricks, ensuring that there is a metal brick spacer installed in the vertical joints between individual bricks.

STEP 5.

The brick spacer will automatically create a 10mm wide vertical (perp) joint between bricks, a 10mm horizontal (bed) is created by the upstand of the rail profile.

STEP 6.

When installation is complete, simply injection point these joints with Parex Historic mortar to realise the authentic and aesthetic appeal of a classic clay brick finish.
